Cape Town - A “nutty” artist has spent almost 400 hours sculpting a vision of the British royal wedding entirely out of nuts – including a sneak peek of Meghan Markle in her wedding dress.
Steve Casino, from Ohio in the US, spent hours transforming nut shells with paint into miniature scenes of the Royal Wedding.
The tableaus show the royals on the balcony of Buckingham Palace as well as outside. Throughout, “nut” Meghan is dressed in her wedding gown.
Steve says even though he enjoyed doing it and it was a rewarding project to work on, it was challenging.
“The queen and Prince Charles were by far the best characters I’ve made yet!” he reckons.
Steve has collaborated with Plenish, a company that produces nut-based milk (such as cashew-nut milk), to create these incredible sculptures.
Kara Rosen, founder of Plenish, says: “We’ve searched long and hard to find someone capable of bringing our idea to life – and can now confidently say we’ve met our match when it comes to being nutty about nuts!
“The nuts that go into our milks are treated like royalty, so it’s amazing to see this brought to life!”
