Cape Town - Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge and future king of England, celebrated his 36th birthday in a unique way – by delivering a speech at a charity event.
William spoke about his involvement with the Defence and National Rehab Centre, an organisation he’s been involved with for four years, reports ELLE online.
In a sweet moment, the prince revealed that his involvement as patron of the organisation has earned him “street cred” with his four-year-old son, George, according to Harpers Bazaar.
“Along the way I have demolished a building - George was at an age at the time that he loved seeing the digger in action, so it did my street cred as a father the world of good,” the prince said, according to Entertainment Online.
But the duke reportedly had some trouble unveiling the statue he was honouring at the ceremony. The cover seemed to have been taped quite securely and after some help, he joked about the “military-issue sticky tape” before delivering his speech.
