Priyanka Chopra laughs off feud rumours with Meghan Markle

Cape Town – Priyanka Chopra has shut down feud rumours between her and good friend Meghan Markle with four simple words.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, a caller asked the actress if rumours that she didn't attend Meghan's baby shower in New York, because the Duchess of Sussex didn't attend her wedding to Nick Jonas in December were true.

Laughing at the question Priyanka simply, and to the point, answered: "No, it's not true."

Rumours spread after Priyanka attended the royal wedding in May 2018, but Meghan did not return the favour with an appearance at Priyanka's nuptials in India.

According to a November 2018 report by Entertainment Tonight, Meghan was invited but did not attend to avoid travelling after announcing her pregnancy in October.

Of the rumours, a source recently told E! News: "All the rumours that Priyanka and Meghan aren't friends anymore are totally not true. They are still very close friends and talk frequently."

Despite rumours, Priyanka has only had good things to say about her long-time friend. During an interview on The Jenny McCarthy Show in May 2018, Priyanka gushed about Meghan, saying: "She's always been someone who's so just aware and interested in the world. I met her three or four years ago and that's what we bonded on - was how much we feel like we contribute to that as public people."
