Cape Town – Priyanka Chopra has elaborated on her friendship with future royal, Meghan Markle.
The Quantico actress recently confirmed that she will be attending the royal wedding, set to take place on Saturday, 19 May at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
And while she briefly opened up about her relationship with the American actress in an interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia magazine in February, Priyanka is sharing more about what she thinks of Meghan’s next chapter in life.
During an interview on The Jenny McCarthy Show on Wednesday, the Baywatch actress gushed about Meghan saying that she was “born to be a global influencer”.
Priyanka told Jenny: “She's always been someone who's so just aware and interested in the world. I met her three or four years ago and that's what we bonded on—was how much we feel like we contribute to that as public people.
“I really feel like that's what she was born to do and I hope this gives her the opportunity do that.”
Responding to a comment that Meghan has received “flak” since her relationship with Prince Harry became public, Priyanka summed up her feelings about it perfectly.
“Some people always talk crap. Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate…Who cares? You do what you do!”
