Cape Town – Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness has found love with South African, Wilco Froneman.

The grooming expert on the Netflix show and Wilco made their red carpet debut at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Saturday.

1. He is originally from Mpumalanga

Wilco was born and raised in Mpumalanga and went to high school at Bergvlam in Mbombela, formerly known as Nelspruit.

A close source told Channel24, the 32-year-old studied at the University of Johannesburg and later moved to Cape Town.

2. He plays rugby

Wilco plays rugby for the Gotham Knights – the premiere gay/inclusive rugby club which is based in New York City.

While living in SA, Wilco played for Blight - Cape Town's first all-inclusive LGBTQ+ touch rugby club.

3. He has a Boston terrier

Wilco is the proud dad of a Boston terrier named Leja, who has her very own IG account.

4. He lived in Ireland

Before moving to the Big Apple, Wilco lived and played rugby in Ireland.
