Cape Town – Couples walked the red carpet on Sunday night at the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards. Kit Harington, nominated for his performance in Game of Thrones, had his costar and wife, Rose Leslie, by his side once again, while Bill Hader and Rachel Bilson made their red carpet debut. Also smiling and laughing together was Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres – the talk show host took home the honorary Carol Burnett award – while Michelle Williams later accepted the award for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film before walking the red carpet with Hamilton director and fiancé Thomas Kail. The couple recently announced they were expecting their first child.
But it was Brad Pitt's date, who he actually decided not to bring, that got people talking. Upon accepting the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture, he said, "I wanted to bring my mom, but I couldn't. 'Cause, any woman I stand next to they say I'm dating. It would just be awkward."
