"She's an actress acting like someone who cares."
Rose McGowan has lashed out at Natalie Portman over a cape she wore to this year's Oscars.
The cape was embroidered with the names of female directors who were snubbed from nominations at the ceremony.
Rose, who’s a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement, took to Facebook to share her thoughts.
"The kind of protest that gets rave reviews from the mainstream media for its bravery," she branded the outfit in her post.
"Brave? No, not by a long shot. More like an actress acting the part of someone who cares. As so many of them do."

Natalie has since responded to Rose’s scathing statement by agreeing that she wasn’t worthy of being called "brave" for the gesture.
The Black Swan actress acknowledged that her own track record of working with female directors was quite lacking.
"'It's true I’ve only made a few films with women. In my long career, I’ve only gotten the chance to work with female directors a few times," Natalie said.
"I’ve had the experience a few times of helping to get female directors hired on projects which they were then forced out of because of the conditions they faced at work.
"After they’re made, female-directed films face difficulty getting into festivals, getting distribution and getting accolades because of the gatekeepers at every level.
"I want to say, I've tried, and I'll keep trying. While I haven't yet been successful, I'm hopeful that we’re stepping into a new day," the actress concluded.
