SA-born actress Lesley-Ann Brandt is social distancing as Los Angeles is in coronavirus lockdown

As the number of reported coronavirus cases worldwide continues to grow, Lucifer actress Lesley-Ann Brandt has decided to practice social distancing as a precautionary measure to decreases the opportunity for transmission. 

Lucifer is the latest, in a string of TV shows to halt production following the global outbreak. 

Social distancing is about keeping a safe distance between yourself and other people, which includes minimising contact with other people, and avoiding public transport travel, public places and social gatherings.

Cape Town-born actress Lesley-Ann Brandt, who is known for her role as Maze in the Netflix series, Lucifer, now resides in Los Angeles, and on Sunday Mayor Eric Garcetti announced an emergency action to close bars, nightclubs, restaurants, entertainment venues and gyms in an attempt to slow the spread of the coronavirus. 

The restrictions are to last until 31 March.

While staying indoors, Lesley-Ann has been sharing photos and videos from her family home on Instagram. Posting a video of herself singing with her son, Kingston, she writes: "Staying home has its ups," in the caption.

In another video, the two sit in their pyjamas while jamming on musical instruments. They sing a song together, with the lyrics: "Mommy loves Kingston. Kingston loves mommy."
