Sandra Bullock's son gave her adoption criteria for his new little sister

Loa Angeles - Sandra Bullock's son urged her to adopt a child with "some brown skin".

The Blind Side actress revealed this week she has taken in three-year-old Laila, and admitted her five-year-old son Louis - who she adopted in 2010 - gave her some criteria for his new brother or sister.

She said: "He did specify that he wanted a sibling that has some brown skin."

The 51-year-old actress believes Louis was ready for Laila's arrival long before she came into their home, and he knew around three years ago that he would have a new sibling one day.

Recalling Louis' announcement at a dinner party with pals, Sandra explained: "He puts his hands behind his head and leans back and says, 'I don't have daughters.'

"And we agreed as well that he didn't have daughters, and then he said, 'But I'm gonna have a baby soon. I don't know its name yet, but it's coming.'

"He is a wise old soul and often knows more than I give him credit for. I think he was ready for her before she even arrived."

Sandra - who is dating photographer Bryan Randall - knew Laila, whose name is pronounced Lila, was the perfect match for her family when Child Protective Service visited her house.

She added to People magazine: "There was an afternoon when we were outside and Louis saw their car pull up and he ran next to Laila and asked the CPS workers why they were there.

"They replied that they were there to see if Laila was okay. He replied, 'You're not going to take her away, are you?' And at that moment, I knew I could stop worrying about whether I had found the right match. It was obvious I had."
