Serena Williams makes a tennis comeback with an empowering ‘S’

Cape Town – Serena Williams is making her pro-tennis comeback and we are supporting her all the way.

Thursday marks International Women’s Day, it also marks Serena’s first professional tennis match since welcoming adorable daughter Alexis Olympia in September last year.

In a lengthy Instagram post the 36-year-old celebrates her comeback with a special invitation for fans and friends to proudly wear a gold toned ‘S’ pin to not only show their support for her but also contribute to a good cause.

“When I am playing you can wear it and show support not only from me but also for my charity which supports the Yetunde Price Resource Centre.”

Serena added that she wants the ‘S’ to mean something special to each person who wear's it.

“I want this gold "S" to mean something special to you personally. What is one “S” word in your life that means something to you? Mine is Strong and Sure! So when I wear my "S" pin I am representing Strength, and Sureness,” Serena wrote.

She then posed the question: “What would your "S" mean?”
