'Stop roasting me about my pinky fingers' Hailey Bieber says revealing genetic condition

Cape Town – Hailey Bieber is asking people to "stop roasting" her "pinky fingers".

The model took to her Instagram Story recently and shared a picture of her hand. According to ET, on the image, she wrote, "Ok let's get into the pinky conversation... because I've made fun of myself about this for forever so I might as well tell everyone else why they're so crooked and scary."

In a second, since-deleted snap, she shared a screenshot from Wikipedia of the genetic condition, ectrodactyly. "I have this thing called ectrodactyly and it causes my pinky fingers to look the way they do," the 23-year-old said.

"It's genetic, I've had it my whole life. So people can stop asking me 'wtf is wrong with her pinky fingers' here is what's wrong," she said.

According to Shape, ectrodactyly is a genetic disorder and a form of split hand/split foot malformation (SHFM). It is "characterised by the complete or partial absence of some fingers or toes, often combined with clefts in the hands or feet," according to the National Organisation for Rare Disorders (NORD)
