Surprise! Actress Michelle Williams is married

Cape Town – Actress Michelle Williams has quietly married American indie musician Phil Elverum.

The actress told Vanity Fair magazine she “never gave up on love” after the sudden death of her partner Heath Ledger 10 years ago.

The 37-year-old told the magazine in an interview published on Thursday that she married the musician at a private ceremony including both their children and close friends and family earlier this month in New York.

In the magazine Williams said:  “I always say to Matilda (her daughter with the late Heath Ledger), ‘Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes.’ Obviously, I’ve never once in my life talked about a relationship but Phil isn’t anyone else.”
