Cape Town - It’s been a good week for Taraji P Henson.
First she got engaged to boyfriend Kelvin Hayden and now she is $2.35m (R29.2m) richer after selling her Los Angeles villa.
The home, which has four-bedrooms, had been on the market for two and a half years.
The property is located in the Beachwood Canyon area and is fitting for a movie star lifestyle as it boasts a private cinema, 600-bottle wine cellar, celebrity-style dressing room, a Jacuzzi as well as a home gym.
Taraji bought the home, which covers 4000-square-foot, in 2010 for a bargain $1.7m (R21.12m).
The sale of the LA property means Taraji, who plays Cookie Lyon on Empire, now owns just three properties.
She has a home in Los Angeles’ Laurel Canyon region which is worth for $6.45m (R80.34m).
The 47-year-old also owns a two-bed/two-bath Spanish villa in Glendale, California that can be rented out for $4k (R49k) per month.
The mother-of-one also owns a three-bedroom condo in Chicago that she last year put on sale for $1.52m (R18m).
