Remember when Taylor and Kanye finally reconciled after he crashed her acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs? Well, we assumed they did – Kanye even featured Taylor in his 2016 song, Famous. But the lyrics were quite lewd, and although the rapper said he asked the singer's permission in a phone call to include her in the song, they had two very different accounts of how that conversation went.
"I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous."
When the song was released, Taylor said she felt "humiliated". She said in a statement, though she did have a conversation with the Jesus Is King rapper, she never signed off on anything because he never played her the song. And she definitely didn't sign off on being referred to as "that bitch".
But Kim Kardashian later took to Snapchat, sharing snippets of the phone call, which made Taylor look like a liar and, shortly after, "#TaylorGotExposedParty" started trending on Twitter.
Now, four years later, the drama continues after the phone call between the two leaked online. In the snippet shared on Twitter, Kanye is on the phone with Taylor, who sounds very unsure and is not okay with lyrics about her that's going to sound "mean". He asks if she'd be willing to tweet his song when it comes out. It all depends on what the "controversial" line is about her, though, so he eventually performs it for her, tweaking it a bit.
"I feel like Taylor Swift might owe me sex," he says, to which she laughs.

All the parts Taylor said she was upset about was omitted during that conversation, so the internet had a field day with it. And soon after, "#KanyeWestIsOverParty" started trending.
Fans rallied behind the Lover singer, tweeting their support with the hashtag. Many shared Taylor's own lyrics. One tweeted lyrics from Look What You Made Me Do, which had a lot of little Easter eggs about the Kimye drama and spoke specifically about karma. "And then the world moves on, but one thing's for sure. Maybe I got mine, but you'll all get yours," they wrote.
Another referenced her song Call It What You Want and wrote, "All the liars were calling her one, nobody heard from her for months... But now, the tables have turned. The truth is out. And she's doing better than she ever was."
