Cape Town - This British student has more in common with Taylor Swift than just her love for furry felines.
Laure Cadman, from Newcastle in England, has described how she was bombarded by adoring Taylor Swift fans after being mistaken for the pop star.
According to Metro News, the 20-year-old, who’s a huge lover of cats, reveals she’s been a “Swiftie” for a staggering 10 years already and loves everything about the Look What You Made Me Do singer.
But when she attended her idol's 1989 sold out world tour back in 2015 – she recalls being totally ambushed by fans who thought she was the 27-year-old singer.
She remembers being approached by a girl who asked to take a picture with her – but when the lass realised it wasn’t the award-winning songstress, she messaged Laura telling her to stop “tricking” people.
“She said she hated me because she thought I was Taylor, then heard me talk and realised I wasn’t her,” Laura told Mirror News.
“She said that I shouldn’t do that because it was tricking people, but this confused me because everyone at the concert was dressed up as Tay [Taylor Swift].”
The look-alike proudly mimics Taylor’s fashion choices to boost her confidence when she’s having a bad day.
She also often poses with red lipstick, and a choppy blonde haircut while cuddling her little black cat on Instagram – which reaffirms her rather uncanny resemblance to the singer.
“If I’m feeling insecure, I’ll always refer to one of her classic looks or if I’m particularly stuck for a special event, I love looking at her red-carpet looks.”
“Her style is timeless and because we have a similar look, I know that whatever suits her will most likely suit me,” she says.
Laura says that she and Taylor resemble each other “a bit” – and she hopes to meet the Blank Space hitmaker one day.
“I’m a big fan and can’t wait for her next album.
“I really hope I can meet her someday and tell her how much her music has helped me.”
But not only Laura sees a resemblance between her and the singer – her more than 14 000 Instagram followers do too.
“Oh my gosh, you so look like Taylor,” said one Instagram user.
“You honestly look so identical to her you need to win a contest or something,” said another.
