So what does Stormi mean? According to The Mirror, the name is rather unique. Stormi is an alternative spelling of the Greenlandic Storme or the English Stormy. The Mirror notes that the name derives from the Old English word storm, originating from the Old Norse word Stormr.

The publication went on to speculate Stormi could have a variety of meanings like its dictionary meaning “tumultuous reaction; an uproar or controversy”. However, some blogs suggest Kylie’s Stormi is someone who has a “free-hearted spirit who cares about it all” or one who “attracts money [and brings] love in life”.

Another fun fact about this unique name is that it’s regarded as “masculine”, according to Behind the Name.

So how unique is the latest Jenner grandkid’s name after all? According to Metro, the name was registered in 1975 in the United States and there are now over 6 000 people around the globe with the name.
