The Rock calls out fake social media accounts for impersonating him

Cape Town - Dwayne The Rock Johnson has urged fans to stay "vigilant" against social media scammers seeking money from his followers.

The Jumanji actor took to Instagram with a video calling out trolls for creating fake social media accounts and asking fans for money, promising materialistic gifts in return.

"To everyone around the world, certainly on Facebook and social media, there has been a ton of fake impostors setting up fake Facebook accounts in my name asking you guys for money... These guys a real pieces of shit," The Rock told the camera.

The former wrestler went on to say he "values a hard earned dollar" and would never ask his fans for money.
