Cape Town - Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has thanked emergency services staff following a scary medical incident involving his two-year-old daughter, Jasmine.

The Ballers star revealed in an Instagram video on Tuesday that Jazzy had been taken to the emergency room on Saturday night in Los Angeles.

Although he doesn’t give much detail about the incident, it was serious enough that the 911 operator had to calm him down and give him instructions on how to treat her until the fire department could arrive.

“We were up all night in the emergency room. We had something scary that happened with our baby girl, Jasmine,” Dwayne (45) said.

“She’s okay now, thank God.”

“But I just want to say thank you to everybody who was involved – so caring, compassionate and responsive.

“The 911 operator who was on the phone with me was extremely calm, walking me through some processes.”

Dwayne also thanked the Los Angeles fire department responders and the medical team at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Health medical centre who took care of his little girl.

“Again, everybody, thank you, everybody so, so much.”

The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor also took some time to give other parents advice on what to do if they find themselves is a similar situation.

“To all you mommies and daddies out there: I just highly recommend that you stay as calm and as focused as possible because our babies, they pick up what you send out – especially in times of stress.”

Jasmine is Dwayne’s first child with his partner, singer Lauren Hashian (33). The couple announced in December they’re expecting their second child together.

Dwayne also has a 16-year-old daughter, Simone, with his ex-wife and manager, Dany Garcia (49).

We’re so glad to hear Jazzy is doing better!
