Cape Town – LA Police were reportedly called to rocker Tommy Lee’s house after his 21-year-old son Brandon allegedly assaulted him.
According to TMZ, Tommy Lee was taken to hospital with a bloodied swollen lip after an altercation with his son – who he shares with ex-wife Pamela Anderson - on Monday night.
The publication went on to report that it is not clear what started the fight but that sources reveal Brandon was acting in self-defence and that Tommy Lee was intoxicated.
Shortly after TMZ’s report, Tommy took to Twitter clarifying what happened.
“My fiancée and I were in bed when my son busted into the room and assaulted me. I asked him to leave the house and he knocked me unconscious. He ran away from the police. THAT’S the truth,” the Mötley Crüe member wrote.

E! News reports the 55-year-old followed his tweet up with a now deleted post on Instagram.
Alongside a photo of his swollen lip, Tommy wrote: “My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you. Good job Brandon! Great son!”
People magazine confirmed with the LA County Sheriff’s Department that Brandon is a person of interest in the investigation but no arrests have been made.
The altercation comes after Tommy Lee blasted Piers Morgan for interviewing Pamela, who spoke about how her ex-husband had been abusive towards her.
“Think she’d find something new to discuss instead of rehashing old shit but I guess she has nothing else going on & needs attention. Signed, “The abuser” (who she texts everyday & asks for me back),” he wrote on Twitter in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
