Usher sued for $20m by woman who claims he gave her herpes

Cape Town – An Atlanta woman is suing Usher for $20m after claiming he gave her herpes.

TMZ reports the suit, which was filed by a Jane Doe, states that the woman and Usher first had sex on 16 April at her home in Atlanta, a condom was used.

Usher and the woman then had sex again 12 days later, this time in a New Orleans hotel room. A condom was not used.

After reading a news report that Usher admitted to having herpes Simplex 2 in legal documents relating to a 2012 case, the Jane Doe filed her lawsuit.

She first filed for $10m stating that she was exposed and put at risk of contracting the virus when having unprotected sex, something she would not have done had Usher told her he has the virus.

According to TMZ, after undergoing an STD test which was found positive for the virus, the Jane Doe filed for $20m for emotional harm, medical bills and punitive damages.

Following the reports famed lawyer Lisa Bloom has come forward saying multiple women have approached her for representation against Usher.

In a series of tweets she called the singer out for putting women’s health at risk.

In the 2012 legal documents, obtained by Radar Online, Usher admits to learning of his herpes status around 2009/2010.

His sexual partner at the time claims the Yeah! hitmaker convinced her he had no STD/virus despite a green discharge coming from his penis.

Shortly after continuing to have sex with Usher, the woman was diagnosed with herpes. Court documents later revealed that he had covered her medical bills.
