Viola Davis lets her daughter dress up on one condition

Cape Town – Viola Davis has figured out the perfect way to teach her 6-year-old daughter, Genesis Tennon, to embrace her natural beauty.

In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle at the Los Angeles launch for Vaseline’s Cocoa Radiant Body Butter, Viola Davis revealed her secret to keeping Genesis proud of her appearance.

When it comes to dressing up as white Disney characters or comic-book characters , Viola revealed she pushes for Genesis to wear the outfit but without a wig.

“I say, ‘You gotta wear your hair exactly the way it is. You can be Wonder Woman, but you gotta be Wonder Woman with your hair. You can be Elsa, but you gotta be Elsa with your hair.’”

And by the looks of things, it totally works!

The Oscar-winning actress added that it is so important for her to teach her daughter not “to grow up wanting someone’s everything.”
