Cape Town – Barack Obama got into the Christmas spirit of giving back when visiting Children's National Hospital in northwest Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
The former POTUS shared his jolly Christmas spirit with all the young patients and their families while wearing a Christmas hat and carrying a large bag or gifts.
According to E! News, a statement released by Office of President Barack Obama said the 44th US president “greeted individual patients in their rooms and stopped by several playrooms” while delivering presents.
A video shared on the hospital’s official Twitter page shows Obama singing along to We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
During a speech, Obama said: “I just want to say thank you to all of you…
“At a time that is obviously tough for folks, and as the dad of two girls, I can only imagine in that situation, to have nurses and staff and doctors and people who are caring for them and looking after them and listening to them and just there for them and holding their hand, that’s the most important things there is.”
