Cape Town – Ellen DeGeneres spent time with the gorillas in Rwanda Dian Fossey devoted her life to saving and has vowed to do the same.

The daytime talk show host and her wife Portia de Rossi have been vacationing in Rwanda but it hasn’t been all pleasure as the couple are there on business to check out the site of the upcoming Ellen DeGeneres Campus – a gorilla conservation centre that is being built and funded by The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund in partnership with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.

Ellen and Portia spent the weekend at Giraffe Manor – an exclusive boutique hotel owned by The Safari Collection – in Nairobi, Kenya.

Landing in Rwanda on Sunday, Ellen and Portia have since gone on to witness the breath-taking gorillas they are vying to save in their natural habitat.
