Los Angeles - Ellen DeGeneres helped name Adam Levine's baby.
The Maroon 5 frontman and wife Behati Prinsloo welcomed their first daughter into the world six weeks ago and he admits they struggled to come up with a moniker.
He said: "We had a name that we won't mention on television. The name game is tough game. It's a very hard, arduous game. Imagine you're writing the best song you've ever written in your life and you have to name it. It's really screwed up to actually have to put yourself through that."
So after coming up with the name Dusty Rose, he texted his idea to the talk show host, who quickly gave her approval.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he said: "I texted Ellen and I was like, 'What do you think?' She was like, 'I hate it. I think it's a terrible name. I was like, 'Cool.' She gave me like five names to think about: This, this, this, this, Dusty. So you basically named my kid."
Ellen then jokingly agreed: "I did name your kid!"
