Cape Town – Idris Elba is engaged to Sabrina Dhowre and man do they have a good proposal story.
The Dark Tower actor made a very public and romantic gesture when he got down on one knee in front of a full audience at the Sundance Film Festival premiere of his feature film directorial debut, Yardie.
In a video shared on Twitter the 45-year-old can be seen asking the 29-year-old beauty to be his wife. A reaction of cheers makes it obvious that Sabrina said yes.

The cinema, where the screening took place, congratulated the couple on their official Twitter account.

The couple sparked dating rumours in October last year and have since made several public appearances together, including a visit to Buckingham Palace in December.
In an interview in the August 2017 issue of Essence magazine, Idris ruled out the possibility of marriage.
The DJ – who has been married and divorced twice – told the magazine: “Am I ever gonna get remarried? I don't think so. Marriage is an institution of sorts. And I've done it. It's not for everybody. It's not my life's calling.”
