WATCH: Kanye West gives his first-ever interview on KUWTK

Cape Town – Surprise! Kanye West is making more of an appearance in the new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The first episode of season 16 premiered in the US on Sunday night and shows Kanye sitting down for his first-ever confessional, despite having appeared in the background in previous seasons.

A catch-up clip, shared on the new YouTube channel for the family's reality TV show, shows Kanye share the reason he decided to participate.

"This is my first time doing this," he says sitting next to Kim. "This interview is because of the movie The Incredibles. It starts off with the interviews, the superheroes are giving interviews."

Kanye adds context, saying: "The wife's got a big butt and I just see our life becoming more and more and more like The Incredibles until we can finally fly."

Later in the clip the couple discuss their fourth baby announcement as well as discuss Kanye's beef with former friend Rhymefest and their falling out over a non-profit organisation in Chicago, named after Kanye's late mother, Donda.
