Cape Town – To whoever dedicated a 40-minute video to proving that Lea Michele can’t read or write, she totally can.
The Glee star set the record straight about a conspiracy theory that she is illiterate after a fan called in to Watch What Happens Live and asked for her take.
Explaining the whole situation to host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Bethenny Frankel, Lea said: “I woke up one day and all of a sudden all online, someone had made like a conspiracy video trying to prove that I can't read or write.”

The 31-year-old – who recently got engaged to beau Zandy Reich – went on to explain that the conspirator believed that Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy took the time to read her all her lines for the show.
“Not only do I have to memorise pages and pages, they said that Ryan Murphy would have to read the lines to me. Ryan called me. He's like, ‘Do people think that I have the time in my life to come and do this?’”
Lea added: “It's the most bizarre thing that has ever happened in my life.”
