Johannesburg - Things are getting spicy! Mel B recently got candid on camera about her past relationships, in particular the one with actor/baby daddy Eddie Murphy in which she described him as “the great love” of her life.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain about her memoir, Brutally Honest, Scary Spice revealed why she decided to leave her relationship with the father of her 11-year-old daughter Angel.

“I left as it was a bit too much. He’s a lovely person, all about family, respectful and old school – we courted for quite a long time,” Mel B said.

According to People magazine, the couple dated for nine months. The 43-year-old singer also described Eddie as “the great love” of her life, adding, “He always will be.” The America’s Got Talent co-judge, who revealed earlier this year that she’s dyslexic, explained why she decided to write about her relationship with the 57-year-old Hollywood actor.

“I mean, I've never really spoken about it before so this book, I wanted to address it because a lot of people have a misconstrued thing of how everything actually did happen,” she said.

“And at the end of the day we have a beautiful daughter together, Angel, who is 11 years old, and she's actually staying with him right now whilst I'm here working.”

In her book Mel also details her battle with depression and her attempt to commit suicide to escape her marriage to ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.
