Noah was confirmed to be making a recovery towards the end of 2017, after 18 months of treatment.

In an interview with Australia’s Today Show, the Haven’t Met You Yet hitmaker fought back tears while discussing the “worst possible thing” he and his family went through.

“What we went through was THE worst possible thing that you could hear as a parent and maybe as a human being,” Michael said, adding that he often wished it would have rather been him.

Michael praised their newfound “faith in humanity,” saying: “More times than people could understand, some days when we wished we didn't wake up, when we did, we felt the love of those people, we knew they were praying for us, we knew there was goodness out there. It gave us faith in humanity, to be really blunt.”
