WATCH: Oprah shares wisdom about being a good friend and we are here for it!

Cape Town - Oprah Winfrey knows a thing or two about being a good friend and she offered some wisdom that will make you the best BFF ever!

It’s no secret that everyone wants to be Oprah’s BFF, but alas that spot is already taken by non-other than Gayle King but here’s what Oprah has to say about what makes her, and what will make you, a good friend to anyone and everyone.

“I am so supportive of whoever or whatever you want to do or be. I am just there for you. There is no competition.”

During a quick catch-up with E! News' Zuri Hall at the premiere of A Wrinkle in Time, the media mogul gushed about her own friendships revealing that her friends help her be a better friend.

Of Gayle, Oprah said: “I've actually modelled being a friend after the friend that Gayle has been to me.”

“I want to be the same friend to everyone that [Gayle's] been to me so that no matter what happens to you so and even if I ain't got no job and you got the best job, I am just so...happy for you!” Oprah added.

And while she was handing out her wisdom, Oprah also gave some advice to newly singletons out there.

Replying to Zuri Hall’s request for advice for her as a 30-year-old, newly single individual, Oprah said: “You get to make yourself the lover, the friend, the companion, the nurturer, the supporter that you would want.”

She added that dating around is fine but it’s important to  focus on yourself and “when you are ready, he will show up.”
