Cape Town - Oprah and Gayle are the gifts that keep on giving.
For the first time ever, Oprah was not alone on the cover of the famous O, The Oprah Magazine. In this friendship issue of the magazine, Oprah stood alongside her best friend of over 40 years on the cover.
In the article, the pair spoke about their friendship and also recorded a video which was posted onto the magazine’s YouTube page.
In the video the two media personalities tried to guess some of the slang terms young people use such as "lit", "thicc" and "turnt".
The conversation begins with Gayle asking, "Are we no longer saying turnt? Are we done with that?"
They also go on to guess what terms such as, "shade, secure the bag and thicc" mean, but there’s one term that completely revealed their age – "snack".
Trying to guess what context the term is often used in, Gayle and Oprah ended up sharing their favourite snacks before finding out that it means someone who looks really good.
"But you’re saying someone really looks [good] like you want to eat it up because it’s attractive?" Gayle finally got it. "Okay, I didn’t know that. That’s good," Oprah agreed.
This is not the first funny video these besties have made together. In April, Gayle said she knows how her friend Oprah would react if she caught her with her long-time boyfriend, Stedman:
"If you ever catch me and Stedman, you know, boinking around, fooling around, you catch us in bed. She [Oprah] shouldn't even be mad at me, because she should say I've lost my mind."
To which Oprah responded, "Yeah. She goes, 'Call someone. Put me in the jacket and have me carried off because you will know that I have lost my mind'."
Early last year, Oprah spoke about how great a friend Gayle is to her, and that after experiencing her friendship, she adopted her friendship ways.
"I've actually modelled being a friend after the friend that Gayle has been to me. I want to be the same friend to everyone that [Gayle's] been to me so that no matter what happens to you and even if I ain't got no job and you got the best job, I am just so... happy for you!” she said.
