Cape Town – Ricky Martin announced his engagement to Jwan Yosef on The Ellen Show on Thursday.
The Puerto Rican singer gushed about his fiancé saying that he instantly connected with Jwan after falling in love with the 32-year-old’s conceptual art first.
And how did he pop the question?
Ricky was so nervous about proposing to Jwan - who he has been dating for over a year - that he messed up what he wanted to say.
He told Ellen, "I was really nervous, but I got on my knees and I took out the little, not a box I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying 'Will you marry me'... I said, 'I got you something!' Bad.
"And then he was like, 'Yes.' I said, 'I want to spend my life with you' and he was like, 'What is the question?'
"'Would you marry me?' And that's it."
