Cape Town – On the 17th season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, a stressed-out Kim leaned on her family as she awaited results from a blood test.

After feeling tired and dealing with headaches, aching joints and other painful physical symptoms, the reality star decided to have a blood test done to find the cause. She told Scott in the episode, "I feel like I'm literally falling apart."

When Dr Daniel Wallace called, he shared some devastating news with a teary Kim.

"Your antibodies are positive for Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis," he said. "In addition to swollen joints, you'd have fevers, rashes, mouth sores, be really tired..."

These results don't confirm the presence of the diseases mentioned, he explained. "Sometimes you can get false positives in these screenings," he continued. So Kim scheduled a follow-up, while Kris advised her to remain positive in the meantime.

Kim thought her symptoms might just be as a result of her anxiety. At the time, she was expecting baby number four, as well as attending law school – something she recently opened up about in her cover story for Vogue Arabia.

Talking to Kanye West, who interviewed her for the September issue, she said, "There is a misconception that I don't actually have to study and that I've bought my way into getting a law degree – that's absolutely not true."

She clapped back saying, "Being underestimated and over-delivering is my vibe."

So truth be told, we completely understand why the reality star, mother-of-four, fashion icon and entrepreneur with a net worth of $350 million would be feeling a little overwhelmed.

Kim's opened up about feeling anxious before, saying living life in the spotlight hasn't exactly helped. But we can only imagine what she must have been feeling as she got that phone call – and the excruciating wait that followed.

"You really do get in your head and think about the worst possible things that can happen," she said of that moment.
