Joseph Maldonado-Passage, best known as Joe Exotic the eccentric former zoo owner, is currently serving a 22-year-sentence at the Federal Medical Center Fort Worth. Viewers watched the events that eventually led to his arrest and incarceration in Netflix's popular docu-series, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness, which quickly became a fan-favourite on the streaming platform.

But Joe says he can't really bask in the glory of the show. "You know it would be nice if I could actually see me being famous out there," he said, "but I've seen these same four walls for a year and a half now."

In the clip below, shared by Netflix, the 57-year-old speaks candidly from prison on everything he'd like to tell his fans to his feud with Carole Baskin – the animal rights activist he hired a hitman to take out. "I'm done with the Carole Baskin saga. It's now time to turn the tables, and Joe get out of jail a free man and exonerated from all these charges (sic)," he said.

Netflix is currently working on an eighth episode for the series, which will be available to stream soon.

Jeff Lowe shared the news on Saturday, revealing they were already filming – and he'll definitely be in the episode. But with this footage, perhaps Joe will be too, and maybe we'll see even more unfold.
