Cape Town – Taraji P Henson has shared the reason why she decided to delay her wedding to retired NFL player Kelvin Hayden.
Taraji announced her engagement via Instagram in May, revealing that she got more than she bargained for on Mother’s Day.

According to Daily Mail, the Proud Mary actress had planned a summer wedding but decided not to let people put her under pressure to tie the knot so soon.
Speaking on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Taraji said: “You know what? It's [the wedding] a ways off.”
She added that after feeling so pressured to pick a date she eventually just decided to take her time.
“I was pressuring myself because everybody was like, ‘When’s the date? When’s the date?’ And I was like, ‘Wow, when is the date?’
“Finally, I was like, ‘You know, I'm in control, we’re in control.’ So, we are going to wait. When we have a date, we will let everyone know. I'll let the world know!”
Speaking about the type of wedding she wants, Taraji said: “'I just really want it to be intimate with my closest friends and family...
“I'm thinking maybe 20 - I have a big family. His family is big but not as big as mine. He’s just like, ‘Baby, whatever you want. As long as you're happy!’”
