Will Smith recently sat down with the leading expert on infectious diseases in the US, Dr Anthony Fauci, to discuss questions about the coronavirus amid the global pandemic.

On his Snapchat series, Will From Home, the two discussed everything from what Covid-19 stands for to how it's affecting the African American community, and in a lighter moment shared on the actor's Instagram account, how it will affect the tooth fairy.

7-year-old Ava's question to Dr Fauci was: "Can the tooth fairy still come if I lose my tooth because of the coronavirus? And can she catch the virus?"

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director responded: "I gotta tell you, Ava, I don't think you need to worry about the tooth fairy.

"So when you get your tooth [to] fall out, stick it under the pillow, and I'll guarantee you that that tooth fairy is not going to get infected and is not gonna get sick."
