Cape Town - Prince Harry is known to be the prankster in the royal family, and it seems that he couldn’t stop himself from trying to pull a prank on Prince William on his wedding day.
While the world watched on in awe as the Duke and Duchess’ Prince William and Kate Middleton’s big day occurred without a hitch, it seems behind the scenes things were a little less smooth-sailing.
William and Kate had two wedding cakes - a stunning tiered fruit cake and less traditional chocolate biscuit cake.
Both were made by Paul Courtney and as he was just putting in the finishing touches on the chocolate cake, Prince Harry waltz into the room.
According to The Sun, he revealed in an interview on ITV show Invitation to a Royal Wedding how Prince Harry nearly caused mayhem on the biggest royal event since Charles and Diana’s wedding in 1981.
"We'd literally just put the top on and of course at that point it's like – oh – collective sigh of relief, I think there was a tear in my eye - we’ve done it, it looks fantastic.
"And I remember Harry came bounding in and he walked up to it and very enthusiastic...Harry was how you’d expect him to be, just a fun joker.
"And he walked up to it and very enthusiastically said, 'Oh, wow fantastic, is this chocolate?'
"And he picked up a piece of chocolate and ate it and then he pretended to box with the top decoration, and we were like – 'Oh no!'"
"It was fun but a slightly heart stopping moment."
We wonder what Kate and William would have done if he accidentally knocked it over!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to tie the knot on 19 May.
According to The Mirror, they are having a lemon elderflower cake covered in buttercream and fresh flowers, made by pastry chef Claire Ptak.
Let's hope his big brother isn't planning any revenge on his big day.
