Cape Town - The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning wearing a beautiful diamond tiara, as she paid homage to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, on Tuesday night at a state dinner.
Kate (36) joined her husband, Prince William (36), and other senior royals at a lavish dinner hosted in honour of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
The duchess donned one of Princess Di's tiaras, known as the Lover's Knot.
According to E! Online, the tiara is more than 100 years old and belongs to Queen Elizabeth, although it was originally commissioned in 1914 for the queen’s grandmother, Queen Mary.

Kate wore a stunning light blue Alexander McQueen gown to the function, coupled with a stylish up-do.
The duchess has worn the Lover's Knot tiara on multiple occasions and in this case donned it with matching pearl earrings, which also belonged to Diana.
According to Town and Country, Princess Di was gifted the Lover's Knot as a wedding present when she wed Prince Charles.
The tiara is so heavy it apparently hurt Diana's head, but she loved it nonetheless.
After Di and Charles separated, the People’s Princess returned the tiara to the queen and it didn’t make an appearance again until 2015 when Kate first wore it to a state function.
