After getting out of the car and shaking hands with one of the hosts, the duchess casually shut the door and went inside, writes People magazine.
Her gesture sent many on social media into a tizz.
“First time I've seen an on-duty princess shut her own car door,” one user commented.
Royal correspondent for The Sun, Emily Andrews tweeted: “A princess who still takes the time to shut her car door. Well done, Meghan!”
