Five things to know about Jazmin Grace Grimaldi

Cape Town - Jazmin Grace Grimaldi is the daughter of Prince Albert II of Monaco (60) and American waitress Tamara Rotolo (56), who met Albert during a three-week holiday in the French Riviera in 1991. Albert’s parents were American actress Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Jazmin lives in New York where she attended Fordham University.

1. Girl power

Jazmin is an advocate for women’s empowerment. She’s part of American fashion designer Tory Burch’s campaign Embrace Ambition, which is aimed at providing funds, education and resources to female entrepreneurs.

2. She’s a singer

Jazmin recently announced the upcoming release of her first single. She also gave a performance at the 28th Rally Aicha des Gazelles du Maroc, a women-only rally held in southern Morocco.

3. She’s a fitness enthusiast

Jazmin is all about leading an active lifestyle and keeps fit with spinning classes.

4. She’s a philanthropist

Jazmin has her own foundation, The Jazmin Fund, which aims to build art-focused community centres in Fiji.

5. Jazmin is off the market

The 26-year-old is in a relationship with musician Ian Mellencamp, nephew of veteran singer John Mellencamp. The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary in October 2017.
