From Prince George's Christmas list to a rare look into William and Kate's romantic life: Mary Berry's special was filled with tasty tidbits

Cape Town – During Mary Berry's A Berry Royal Christmas which aired in the UK on Monday, the Duke of Cambridge revealed Prince George's special talent, and how it's influenced his Christmas list to Santa.

Prince William said, "He loves his drawing, he's a very good drawer. We might give him something to do with drawing, or football... loving his football as well," he said.

He added, talking about his son's favourite team, "I tried not to be too biased, I said you can support anyone but Chelsea. So naturally, he supports Chelsea."

But that wasn't all Their Royal Highnesses revealed in the hour-long special that saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge get their hands dirty as they prepared festive food to thank all those working and volunteering over the Christmas period.

Kate seems to be an experienced baker – the mother-of-three shared that she loves taking the lead and baking the birthday cake when it comes to her kids' birthdays, reports HELLO! Magazine.

"I love making the cake," she told Mary. "It's become a bit of a tradition that I stay up 'til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing, and I make far too much. But I love it."

Kate also told the Great British Bake Off judge that one of Louis's first words was actually 'Mary', according to E! News. "Right at his height are all my cooking books in the kitchen bookshelf," she said. "And children are really fascinated by faces, and your faces are all over your cooking books, and he would say 'That's Mary Berry'. So he would definitely recognise you if he saw you today."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a clip on their official Instagram account, showing them going head to head in their own British bake-off. Kate shared a rare look into her romantic life with Prince William, telling Mary the 37-year-old prince often cooks for her. "He's very good at breakfast," she said.

"In [our] university days he used to cook all sorts of meals," Kate revealed. "I think that was when he was trying to impress me, Mary. Things like Bolognese sauces and things like that."
