For the first time since they concluded their royal duties, Harry and Meghan have taken to social media to share a reminder to keep on keeping on.
"These are uncertain times. And now, more than ever, we need each other. We need each other for truth, for support, and to feel less alone during a time that can honestly feel quite scary," the couple wrote on Instagram, encouraging their followers to be compassionate and kind amid the coronavirus pandemic.
With that, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their focus going forward, which will be sharing information and resources to help everyone cope with the coronavirus, while also sharing the inspiring stories of how people all around the world are coming together to fight the pandemic.
"There are so many around the world who need support right now, who are working tirelessly to respond to this crisis behind the scenes, on the frontline, or at home. Our willingness, as a people, to step up in the face of what we are all experiencing with Covid-19 is awe-inspiring," they wrote, before echoing the powerful quote in the picture they posted: "This moment is as true a testament there is to the human spirit."
Harry and Meghan are currently "taking government advice" by staying home in Canada with Archie. It seems all the royals are taking precautionary measures though with the queen, as well as Prince Charles and Camilla, either postponing or cancelling all upcoming engagements, while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge remain home with their kids – Princess George and Princess Charlotte’s school, Thomas’s Battersea has officially switched to "remote learning" (homeschooling).
Prince William also shared a message of his own on Wednesday, hoping to put the minds of the British people at ease during this difficult time.
"Whenever and wherever adversity strikes, the people of the UK have a unique ability to pull together," he said in a video shared on Instagram.
