Margot Robbie says Harry and Meghan "have their reasons" for leaving the royal firm.
The couple announced they'd be stepping down as senior members of the royal family in January, much to the world's surprise, and have since moved to Canada with their son, Archie.
The Bombshell star says she can relate to the royal couple, and specifically Harry, having also moved away from home.
The 29-year-old told The Sun of the Sussex's decision to give up their HRH titles and royal funds, "It isn't something that is taken lightly."
The Australian actress who lived in the UK for a while said: "I have known Prince Harry for a while, and he is a really great guy. I know as much as anybody what a big decision it is to move halfway across the world. I still miss London a lot, but I had my reasons for moving, and they have their reasons for the decision."
Margot added, if Harry and Meghan are going to be spending more time in the US, they should stop by for dinner with her and husband and filmmaker, Tom Ackerley.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actress first met Harry in 2015 when the two attended a party thrown by model, Suki Waterhouse. Harry famously wore green costume specs when he photobombed a photograph with the model and actress who were posing with Cara Delevingne, Sienna Miller and cousin, Princess Eugenie, but it was taken down from Instagram shortly after, reports Vanity Fair.
On meeting Prince Harry, Margot revealed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon shortly after, that she didn't quite recognise the duke at first.
"Actually, when I saw him in those glasses, I was like, 'Oh my God, I didn't know Ed Sheeran was at the party.' He got really offended," she said.
"He wasn't wearing a crown, though! Like, I don't know it's a prince!"
