Cape Town – Despite speculation that her relationship with her father is estranged, Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas will be at her wedding to Prince Harry.

According to People magazine, both Meghan’s parents will be in attendance.

The report comes after multiple claims, including by Meghan’s own siblings, that Thomas was not invited to the nuptials.

YOU magazine previously reported that, according to an E! News source, the former Suits actress had asked her yoga-instructor mom, Doria Ragland, 61, to walk her down the aisle.

Meghan’s half-sister Samantha Markle, 52, however, denied this at the time tweeting: “Muck about Doria walking Meg down the aisle is NOT true. Our father will walk her down the aisle.”

Samantha later slammed Meghan for not doing enough to help their bankrupt father.

“If you can spend $75 000 on a dress, you can spend $75 000 on your dad,” Samantha reportedly told The Mirror following her engagement photos with Prince Harry were released.

According to Daily Mail, Thomas, 73, a former television lighting director, declared himself bankrupt in California last year, with credit card debts of £24 181 (R405 000) and savings of just £160 (R2 700).

Shortly thereafter, Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Jr made claims against his soon-to-be royal sister, calling her an “acting phoney” whose lone desire is to emulate the late Princess Diana.

“Diana was worshiped by everyone in the world. She was loved for the right reasons. That’s what Meg wants, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. She’s not genuine like Diana,” Thomas said during an interview in April.

Thomas Jr’s latest hit at Meghan is via a letter, published by In Touch, in which the 51-year-old warns Prince Harry against marrying the 36-year-old.

“Dear Prince Harry, it’s not too late. Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you,” Thomas wrote, calling the wedding “the biggest mistake in royal history”.
