The former Suits actress quietly travelled to Toronto via Air Canada, Royal Central reports. A source told the publication that Kensington Palace sent a letter to the airline beforehand asking that no one take Meghan’s picture or approach her on the flight.

According to the Mirror, Meghan will be seeing close friends and family, including her mother, who lives in Los Angeles – for the first time since marrying Prince Harry in May,.

It is unknown however, if Meghan will be visiting her father - who lives in Rosarito, Mexico - during her trip.

The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly not spoken to Thomas Markle since the royal wedding, prompting the retired lighting director to ridicule the royal family and his daughter in public interviews.

A royal source told Mirror: “The past few weeks will no doubt have been incredible stressful for Meghan and no one wants this saga to continue for her.

“Hopefully she can find some way of seeking a resolution with her father but going back to her roots for a few days is exactly what she needs right now.”

Meghan’s solo trip comes after Thomas’ latest offering to the media, in which he calls the royal family “cult-like”, The Telegraph reports.
