Cape Town - Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s pillar of strength as she faces her on-going family drama.
The sisters-in-law seem to be warming up to each other and insiders say Kate is making an effort to support the newest member of the royal family as she battles a very public family spat, Express reports.
Between Meghan’s dad Thomas Markle’s (74) constant tirades about his youngest daughter cutting him off, and her stepsister continually discrediting her, the former Suits star has experienced lots of hurly-burly over the past few months.

Despite earlier rumours that Kate hadn’t warmed to Meghan, the two now seem to be forging a strong bond after they attended the Wimbledon tennis tournament together to watch Serena Williams compete in the women’s final in July, Harper’s Bazaar reports.

“Kate’s well aware of what Meghan is going through,” a source told Vanity Fair. “Her family have been dragged through the tabloids and she knows it’s not nice. She’s made a big effort to be kind to Meghan and look out for her.
“They speak on the phone and Kate makes a point of inviting Meghan over.”
Their budding friendship will likely be on display again when the two, with their hubbies Prince William and Prince Harry, attend the wedding of a close family friend, Charlie van Straubenzee, on 4 August, Hello magazine reports.
