Cape Town - Most people, at some point in their life, have a nickname – one which they often despise.

By now, everyone knows Prince Harry will often shorten his wife’s name to Megs and the 36-year-old former Suits star seemingly revealed her nickname for her hubby when she reportedly called him "my prince" in her wedding speech.

But Prince Harry has been given a new nickname by one of his new wife’s friends – and he was apparently not a fan of it at first.

Meghan’s close friend Bryony Gordon, who’s a writer and mental health campaigner, told Marie Claire that she’s given the royal the nickname "Hazza".

Although Harry rejected the pet name at first, he’s since learned to put up with it.

Bryony revealed that she frequently hangs out with the Duchess of Sussex and says it’s "like chatting with a mate on the sofa with a cup of tea".

Here’s to Megs and Prince Hazza!
