Cape Town - Little Princess Charlotte (3) has given us many cute moments since the day she was born, but this year she had us swooning over her little personality.
She’s the second child and only daughter of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. And she’s fourth in the line of succession to the British throne.
WE COUNT DOWN THE TIMES PRINCESS CHARLOTTE STOLE THE SHOW:
1. The birth of her little brother, Louis
Princess Charlotte almost stole the limelight when she and her big brother, Prince George (5), arrived at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in London in April.
While George still dressed in his school uniform appeared shy, Charlotte had no such qualms.
She skipped along wearing a cute baby blue dress, with her hair pulled back, and sporting a cheeky grin as she waved to the cameras when she entered the hospital.
As the family walked up the familiar stone steps into the Lindo Wing, Charlotte gave the camera one last cheeky little look over her shoulder and another dimpled grin and wave.
2. Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding
As to be expected, the youngest royals had picture-perfect moments at the biggest wedding of the year.
But Charlotte had royal fans falling in love when she famously stuck out her tongue in the car as she arrived at St George’s Chapel for Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
She even showed off her little wave on the steps before entering to perform her duties!
3. Throwing a tantrum at Hamburg Airport
Last July, Charlotte, who’d just turned two, appeared to throw a bit of a tantrum at Hamburg Airport as the family prepared to board a helicopter.
Charlotte reportedly “erupted into a mini tantrum”, before taking a bit of a tumble on the tarmac, reports Daily Mail.
The family had been jetting around on a five-day royal tour and it seems it had all got a bit too much for the toddler.
However, her outburst didn’t last long though. After she was picked up and comforted by her mother, everything seemed to go back to normal.
4. The wedding of Sophie Carter, Kate’s best friend
This time her big brother George joined in on the fun.
According to People magazine, the little prince was pictured marching around with a big smile on his face, while Charlotte gave her big brother an amused look.
5. Trooping the Colour 2018
Once again Princess Charlotte and Prince George made a memorable appearance – this time on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
They were attending the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony – which forms part of the queen’s official birthday celebrations.
The two young royals appeared alongside their cousins Savannah and Isla Phillips, daughters of Peter and Autumn Phillips and granddaughters of Princess Anne, the queen’s daughter.
She cuddled her mom, Kate, happily waved at the crowds and was all smiles throughout most of the event.
