London — Pippa Middleton is following in her sister's footsteps — she's about to be a mother.

The younger sister of Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, revealed the "happy news" of her pregnancy in a new fitness column in Waitrose magazine, adding that she has passed her first trimester.

According to Hello! magazine Pippa further revealed that unlike her sister did with her three pregnancies, she has not suffered any severed morning sickness.

"I was lucky to pass the 12 week scan without suffering from morning sickness. That meant I was able to carry on as normal."

In the column the 34-year-old is photographed working out and discusses how she has adapted her exercise routine to her pregnancy.

"When I learned the happy news that I was pregnant I realised I needed to adjust my 4 to 5-day-a-week routine," she wrote, adding that she kept her pregnancy from her personal trainer until after her first trimester.

This will be both Pippa and husband James Matthews' first child. She married the hedge fund manager in 2017.

The confirmation comes after reports that Pippa is pregnant surfaced in April, ahead of the arrival of Duchess Kate and Prince William's third child, Prince Louis.

The columnist was spotted hiding her growing baby bump while attending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's nuptials on 19 May.
