Cape Town – Buckingham Palace on Saturday night released an official statement from the queen in which the final details about the Sussex split from the royal family was confirmed.

In the statement it was revealed that Harry and Meghan will lose their royal funds as well as their HRH titles. Prince Harry would also have to step back from his official military appointments. According to online reports, the new arrangements are set to be reviewed in 12 months' time.

In his first public speech since the announcement was made Harry said: "There were so many months of talks after so many years of challenges. I know I haven’t always gotten it right, but as far as this goes there really wasn’t any other option. What I want to make clear is we’re not walking away, and we certainly aren’t walking away from you."
